Attention all area Middle School faculty, staff and students! The City of Las Cruces is proud to announce the 2010 CLC-TV Student Video PSA Contest. CLC-TV is calling on all middle school students to enter a 30 second public service announcement (PSA) on topics of public safety or social issues. There is no fee to enter.
This year’s suggested topics include (but not limited to): Texting while driving, environment (“green”), animal adoption and red light cameras.
There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner. The first place winners will receive the CLC-TV Excellence Trophy. Second and third place winners will receive plaques.
The first place winners from each division will have their PSA’s televised on CLC-TV Cable Channel 20 for up to one year. All placing videos will also be placed on clctv.com
Judges with professional experience in television and video production will score and provide constructive feedback and suggestions for all participants who so request on their entry forms.
Scoring will be based on content and broadcast quality (see broadcast quality criteria).
The deadline to submit entries is Friday, April 9, 2010 by 5 p.m. Winners will receive their awards and be recognized at the regular meeting of the Las Cruces Mayor and City Council (date TBA). The meeting will be televised live on CLC-TV and streamed live on CLCTV.com.
